The Unforeseen Rise to Stardom of Angelina Jolie

During a recent interview featured in the December 2023 and January 2024 edition of WSJ magazine, Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie, 48, revealed that if she had the chance to go back in time, she may not have pursued a career in acting. Surprisingly, when she ventured into the world of business, she never anticipated the level of fame that would follow. Referring to the constant flow of inaccurate news stories about her, Jolie mentioned that she does not pay attention to them. Growing up in Hollywood, she has always maintained a nonchalant attitude towards the industry, stating that she has never placed much importance on the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown.

During an interview, the actress confessed that her social life is practically non-existent at the moment and she is not seeing anyone romantically. Jolie shared that her inner circle mainly consists of close friends who are refugees, with a majority of them being women from war-torn countries. The people she cherishes the most are her children, including her twins Knox and Vivienne (15), daughters Shiloh (17) and Zahara (18), and sons Pax Thien (20) and Maddox (22). The renowned movie star Maleficent emphasized that her children are her closest companions and true friends in life in an interview with WSJ.

In a recent feature in Vogue, the actress and director discussed her new fashion line called Atelier Jolie and opened up about her decision to take on fewer movie roles. She also reflected on the question of whether she truly knows herself at the age of 48.

“I think I’m going through a period of change. Lately, I’ve been feeling down and not quite like my usual self. It’s like I’m rediscovering who I am after ten years. I know I have a lot of healing to do, but setting up Atelier Jolie has been really helpful for me. It’s like therapy. Working in a creative environment with people I trust has been so important in helping me find myself again.”
